Questions

Our suite is scripted in Playwright. Which alternatives already publish it, and which run on a different stack?
Playwright appears in the published framework list of five of the eight alternatives, most often beside Cypress, Appium or k6. Two alternatives publish a list built around Selenium instead, combined with tools such as TestNG, JUnit, SOAP UI or REST Assured. Playwright is absent from both of those two lists. The eighth alternative publishes no framework list at all. A suite already written against Playwright lines up on paper with more of the alternatives than it fails to.
Would any single alternative cover our whole tool list, or does every move cost us something?
Nobody publishes the whole list. Seven of the eight tools QA Madness publishes turn up on two alternatives' lists, and those two are the closest available match. Both of them are missing the same tool, Robot Framework. Two further alternatives do publish Robot Framework, and each of those drops two or three of the remaining seven instead. The narrowest published list runs to two tools, both of which are on the subject's own list. Every available move trades one part of the stack for another.
We are a scaleup, past the startup phase and short of enterprise. Do the alternatives say they work at that stage?
Scaleup is published by one alternative out of the eight. Startup is published by three of the eight. Enterprise is published by three of the eight as well. Four alternatives publish no client stage at all, which records an absent statement rather than a refusal to work at any particular stage. The one alternative that names scaleup is also the only one that names all three stages, so the middle of the range is the part of the field that almost nothing is written about.

The rule behind this list and the basis of its order are on the methodology page. Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
