Who each one fits

Global App Testing sells reach: a release put in front of many real people in many places, sized to a launch rather than a quarter. Testlio sells continuity through the same kind of distributed labour, testers who stay with a product across releases and carry what they learned in the last cycle into the next. A buyer choosing here is choosing between a burst of coverage and an accumulating one, and the answer follows from how often the product ships.

Whichever way that falls, the hardware question stays unanswered on either profile. Each model puts testing on devices held by individuals rather than on a bench the vendor owns. That is fine while breadth is the goal, and awkward the moment a defect has to be reproduced: a report that a checkout failed on a particular handset and operating system version is worth acting on only if that configuration can be brought back in a later cycle. Ask each vendor what happens when a fix needs verifying on the exact device that failed, and who is expected to still have it weeks later. The device lab entry on the profile is where a published answer would show up.

A tag is attached when the company's published fields meet its condition, never by judgement. Both lists come from the same closed vocabulary, so a tag missing from one side means the condition was not met, not that nobody looked.

Both meet the conditions for Nearshore for the EU, so those conditions do not separate them.

Where the data runs out

Completeness against the 14 fields of the comparison checklist is 79% for Global App Testing and 71% for Testlio. A field is counted as filled when a source confirms it, so a gap means nobody published it.

Neither company has a value recorded for these fields: Frameworks, Signs a BAA / GDPR DPA, Onboarding, Device lab. The table shows those rows empty rather than estimating them.

Field definitions and the completeness checklist are on the methodology page. The sources behind each field are listed on the Global App Testing profile and the Testlio profile.

Questions

What services does each of Global App Testing and Testlio list on its profile, and is there a service on one list that the other does not carry?
Global App Testing's profile lists six published services, among them localization testing and payment flow testing, checked 2 September 2026. Testlio's profile lists seven published services, checked 3 September 2026. Mobile app testing is the one entry on Testlio's list without a matching entry on Global App Testing's list. Whether Global App Testing takes on that same work under a different service name is a gap the published list leaves open rather than a stated exclusion.
Where is each of Global App Testing and Testlio headquartered, and what should a buyer scheduling calls take from that?
Global App Testing is headquartered in London, the UK, checked 2 September 2026. Testlio is headquartered in Austin, the USA, checked 3 September 2026. The two cities sit in different countries on different sides of the Atlantic, so a call fixed to one headquarters' business hours will land outside the other's for part of the working day. A buyer who wants a contact based in a specific city or country should ask which office actually staffs the account, since a headquarters address on a profile does not by itself name the team assigned to a project.

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
