Who each one fits
Ubertesters built its crowd around handsets and connected devices, reach measured in the hardware its testers own. UNGUESS built its crowd around a European base and sells more than coverage through it: the same relationship also carries automated checks and adversarial work, so the crowd is an entry point rather than the whole offer. A buyer weighing this pair is choosing between device-heavy release testing and a European counterpart that can absorb work beyond the crowd.
That breadth is what makes the entry point worth asking about. A buyer who wants to start small, with a contained request rather than a standing programme, has no published floor here to weigh a quote against, and no way to tell from the page whether a scoped piece of work is a shape UNGUESS sells at all. The question is sharper because the wider a catalog runs, the more likely its economics are built for standing arrangements: a vendor that expects to sit on an account across a roadmap prices the opening engagement accordingly. Ask on the first call what the smallest engagement it will scope looks like, and check the answer later against whatever the minimum project size field eventually carries.
A tag is attached when the company's published fields meet its condition, never by judgement. Both lists come from the same closed vocabulary, so a tag missing from one side means the condition was not met, not that nobody looked.
Ubertesters
UNGUESS
Both meet the conditions for Crowdtesting at scale, so those conditions do not separate them.
Where the data runs out
Completeness against the 14 fields of the comparison checklist is 71% for Ubertesters and 79% for UNGUESS. A field is counted as filled when a source confirms it, so a gap means nobody published it.
Neither company has a value recorded for these fields: Frameworks, Client stages, Onboarding. The table shows those rows empty rather than estimating them.
Field definitions and the completeness checklist are on the methodology page. The sources behind each field are listed on the Ubertesters profile and the UNGUESS profile.
Questions
- What year does each company's published profile give as its founding date?
- Ubertesters' published profile states a founding year of 2012, checked 3 September 2026. UNGUESS's published profile states a founding year of 2015, checked 3 September 2026. The gap between the two founding years, as published, spans three years.
- Does either company's published profile list a delivery location inside the EU?
- UNGUESS's published profile lists delivery locations in Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, checked 3 September 2026. Ubertesters' published profile lists a delivery location only in the United States, checked 3 September 2026. A buyer whose engagement must run from inside the EU finds that location on UNGUESS's profile and not on Ubertesters'.

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
