Where these companies differ from Abstracta
This catalog does not know why a reader is looking for a replacement, and it does not guess. The list below is the set of fields on which the companies on this page actually differ from Abstracta.
- Delivery geography: 6 of the 8 candidates deliver from at least one country Abstracta does not list.
- Certifications: 1 of the 8 candidates hold a confirmed certification that Abstracta does not.
- Published rates: 8 of the 8 candidates publish an hourly rate, and Abstracta publishes one too, so the two can be read side by side.
- Applicability conditions the subject does not meet: Candidates on this page meet conditions Abstracta does not, among them Embedded team model, Nearshore for the EU, Security focus.
- Published case studies: 8 of the 8 candidates publish at least one case study with a named metric, and Abstracta publishes 4.
The companies
A company is listed here when it meets at least one of the same applicability conditions as the company at the top of the page. Those conditions are computed from published fields, so the list changes when the fields change and never because somebody paid for a place in it.

Field by field
The order is by the number of applicability conditions a company shares with the company at the top of the page, then by the number of verified reviews it has on external review platforms, then alphabetically by name. No position here is paid for and none of it is an editorial score.

No company in this table has a value recorded for these fields: Signs a BAA / GDPR DPA, Onboarding, Crowd tester pool. Those cells are empty because no source recorded the value, and an empty cell is not a statement that the company lacks the property.
Where an engagement model is published and where it is not
Abstracta publishes no engagement model in this catalog. The field is empty in its profile, and no source names how work is structured for a client, whether staff augmentation, a dedicated team or a fixed-scope project. All eight candidates publish at least one. ScienceSoft publishes managed testing alone. SHIFT ASIA publishes staff augmentation alone, and so does Sofka Technologies. QASource publishes two, a dedicated team and on-demand testing. QualityLogic publishes two as well, staff augmentation and managed testing, and QAlified publishes a different pair, managed testing and project work. a1qa publishes four: staff augmentation, a dedicated team, managed testing and project work. BugRaptors publishes five, the widest list here: project work, time and materials, managed testing, staff augmentation and crowdtesting. A buyer who wants a published record of how an engagement is structured before a first call finds one on every candidate profile and none on Abstracta's.
Where a minimum project size is published and where it is not
Abstracta publishes no minimum project size, and neither does QAlified. The other seven candidates do. BugRaptors publishes the lowest floor, 1,000 US dollars. ScienceSoft, QualityLogic and SHIFT ASIA each publish a 5,000-dollar floor. a1qa publishes 10,000 dollars. QASource publishes 25,000 dollars. Sofka Technologies publishes 50,000 dollars, the highest floor on this page. A buyer whose engagement sits below 5,000 dollars finds one published match among the eight, BugRaptors, and no published floor from Abstracta or QAlified to weigh it against.
Where ownership status differs
Abstracta is recorded as an independent company. Five of the eight candidates carry the same status: QASource, ScienceSoft, QualityLogic, a1qa and Sofka Technologies. Three are recorded as subsidiaries. A Seasia Group corporate profile lists BugRaptors among its companies. QAlified traces to a 2021 acquisition announcement in which Vesta Software Group, itself a subsidiary of Jonas Software, announced the purchase of GeneXus Consulting, the company operating today as QAlified. SHIFT ASIA is recorded as a subsidiary too, though the source used for that entry does not name its parent. Every company on this page publishes the field, which is what makes the three-way split above add up; a company that left it empty would carry none of the three labels. Ownership status does not change what services a company lists. In an acquisition, it changes who controls the contract going forward.
Where the number of named frameworks differs
Abstracta names two frameworks, Appium and Gatling. QAlified also names two, Postman and SoapUI, the same count with a different pair. SHIFT ASIA names none, and Sofka Technologies names one, Tosca. BugRaptors names four, ScienceSoft names six, QASource names eight and QualityLogic names nine. a1qa names thirteen, the longest list on this page, including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Appium, JMeter, Postman, Cucumber, k6, REST Assured, TestComplete, Katalon and SoapUI. A named framework does not guarantee depth on a specific project. Its absence leaves a profile with no published starting point for a tooling conversation.

Questions
- Abstracta does not meet the Nearshore for the EU condition. Which of the candidates here do?
- Two of the eight. That condition asks for a delivery site in the EU or the EEA, or in Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia or Moldova, and Abstracta meets the Americas condition instead. Five candidates meet the Americas condition alongside Abstracta, so most of this page repeats a reach Abstracta already has rather than extending it. A buyer whose reason for looking past Abstracta is European delivery is choosing between two companies here, and the other six do not answer that reason at all.
- If a candidate carries an applicability condition Abstracta does not have, does that mean it covers the same gap as any other candidate here?
- Not the same gap. Four conditions turn up among the candidates that Abstracta does not meet: Embedded team model, Nearshore for the EU, Security focus and Device lab coverage. Five of the eight candidates meet at least one of those four, and two of the five meet two of them at once. The remaining three overlap with Abstracta only on conditions it already holds, so they arrive on this page as near-copies rather than as a replacement for anything Abstracta lacks.
- Candidates are ordered by how many applicability conditions each one shares with Abstracta. Does a higher position mean a better replacement?
- It means a closer match, which is nearly the opposite thing. All eight candidates meet the Automation first condition that Abstracta also meets, so that one adds a point to every candidate and separates none of them. Four also meet the Performance engineering condition Abstracta holds. The order is built mostly from conditions Abstracta already satisfies, which lifts the companies most like Abstracta to the top and can leave the one that closes a real gap near the bottom.
- If a data field is blank for every company being compared, does that mean none of them can supply it if asked directly?
- A blank field on this page means no source publishes an answer for that company; it does not mean the company has no answer to give if asked directly. Three fields carry no published value for any of the nine companies shown, including Abstracta: signing a business associate agreement or a GDPR data processing agreement, onboarding time, and the size of a crowdtesting pool. A field blank for every row cannot separate one company from another the way delivery geography or published rates can.

The rule behind this list and the basis of its order are on the methodology page. Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
