The companies
A company is listed here when it meets at least one of the same applicability conditions as the company at the top of the page. Those conditions are computed from published fields, so the list changes when the fields change and never because somebody paid for a place in it.

The order is by the number of applicability conditions a company shares with the company at the top of the page, then by the number of verified reviews it has on external review platforms, then alphabetically by name. No position here is paid for and none of it is an editorial score.

A $75,000 floor against floors from $1,000 to $50,000
Minimum project size is one field on which the eight candidates part company with each other and with Testlio, and it is not a field this page tabulates. Testlio publishes a minimum project size of $75,000, the highest published floor among the nine companies compared here. QA Madness and SnoopGame each publish the lowest floor among the eight candidates, $1,000, one seventy-fifth of Testlio's minimum. DeviQA publishes $5,000, one fifteenth of Testlio's floor. TestFort, a1qa and QAwerk each publish $10,000, a figure that Testlio's own floor is seven and a half times. QualityMinds publishes $50,000, two thirds of Testlio's floor and the highest published floor among the eight candidates. appmatics GmbH publishes no minimum project size.
The one model on Testlio's profile that no candidate publishes
Testlio publishes two engagement models, Crowdtesting and Dedicated team. None of the eight candidates publishes Crowdtesting as a model. a1qa publishes four engagement models, the widest list among the eight candidates: Staff augmentation, Dedicated team, Managed testing service and Project work. DeviQA publishes three models: Managed testing service, Staff augmentation and Dedicated team. QA Madness also publishes three: Project work, Dedicated team and Staff augmentation. SnoopGame publishes three as well, Dedicated team, Project work and Time and materials, the only one of the eight candidates to publish Time and materials. TestFort publishes two models, Dedicated team and Managed testing service. QAwerk publishes two, Project work and Dedicated team. appmatics GmbH publishes two, Dedicated team and Project work. QualityMinds publishes one model, Dedicated team, the narrowest list among the eight candidates and the only model it has in common with Testlio.
What the published case material covers
Case study material exists for all eight candidates and for Testlio itself. Testlio's own case studies cover streaming QA scaled across platforms for Hallmark+, a reduction in customer-reported issues through in-market payment testing for BitPay, in-market payment testing for checkout flows at Solidgate, faster releases through real-device testing for Rush Street Interactive, and lower device costs while testing biometric releases at scale for iProov. BitPay and Solidgate, two of Testlio's published case studies, name in-market payment testing in the case title itself. None of the eight candidates publishes a case study whose title names payment testing.
DeviQA's case studies cover a long-running QA partnership on an accounts payable automation platform, web and API automation for a glucose monitoring system at Abbott Laboratories, QA for a real estate platform at Compass, a QA process built from scratch for a dental case-management platform at Arklign, and automation for a tour and event booking platform at Xola. QA Madness's case studies cover WordPress e-commerce testing for Isadora Digital Agency and manual and automated testing for a mental health support application. TestFort's case studies cover software testing for a password manager at Dashlane, load and performance testing for LuxiEdge, an integrated QA engagement for a high-risk data platform, testing an AI-powered recovery wearable for fitness studios, and ERP testing for an Odoo-based enterprise management system. a1qa's case studies cover AI-powered test automation for a retail client, DevOps and test automation for an international mobile operator association, and QA support for a US-based home appliance manufacturer. QAwerk's case studies cover manual and cross-platform testing for Unfold, later acquired by Squarespace, automated regression and smoke testing for Evolv, and exploratory, functional and regression testing for ClickHouse. SnoopGame's published case material names games without describing what testing work each engagement covered: Stellaris, SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off and House of Fun. appmatics GmbH's case studies cover a testing partnership with Eurowings Digital running since 2015, release testing for Yello's energy customer app, agile test procedures for ZDFheute, API testing for BVG's app, QA consulting for Wanzl, functional testing for Ernst Klett Verlag, and automation and IoT device testing for Rotronic. QualityMinds's published case material describes an AI workshop delivered for DATEV.
The tags the candidates carry that Testlio does not
Embedded team model and Nearshore for the EU are the only two applicability tags on Testlio's own profile, and both are shared by every one of the eight candidates. Five further tags appear across the eight candidates, and Testlio carries none of them. Automation first is the widest of the five, reaching DeviQA, QA Madness, a1qa, QAwerk and appmatics GmbH. Security focus reaches DeviQA, QA Madness and QAwerk. Device lab coverage reaches DeviQA and SnoopGame. Nearshore for the USA reaches a1qa and SnoopGame. Performance engineering reaches TestFort alone.
DeviQA carries three of those five tags, more than any other candidate: Automation first, Security focus and Device lab coverage. QA Madness and QAwerk each carry two of the five, the same pair, Automation first and Security focus. a1qa and SnoopGame each carry two of the five as well, a different pair: a1qa combines Automation first with Nearshore for the USA, and SnoopGame combines Device lab coverage with Nearshore for the USA. TestFort and appmatics GmbH each carry one of the five tags, Performance engineering and Automation first respectively. QualityMinds carries none of the five tags beyond the two it shares with Testlio. The condition behind each tag is set out in the ranking methodology.

Questions
- Payment flow testing is the line we buy. Does any alternative name it?
- None of the eight alternatives lists payment flow testing as a named service. Testlio is the only profile among the nine compared here whose service list names it directly, beside manual testing, accessibility testing and localization testing. The nearest coverage among the eight sits inside wider categories such as manual testing, API testing or acceptance testing. A buyer whose requirement is checkout, billing or payment-provider work is choosing between profiles where that work is not written down as its own line.
- We are an enterprise buyer. Do the alternatives say who they usually work with?
- Startup and enterprise are the only two client stages named anywhere on this comparison, and scaleup is named by nobody. Enterprise appears on two alternative profiles, startup on three, and a single profile carries both. The other four alternatives publish no client stage, and neither does Testlio. An empty stage field records an absent statement rather than a limit on who a company takes on, so the field can shorten a list here and cannot rank one.
- Would leaving mean buying a much wider menu than we use?
- Yes, in five cases out of eight. Those five publish between eleven and sixteen services each, against the seven services Testlio publishes. The other three publish six services each, one line shorter than the subject's own list. No alternative publishes a list of seven. The choice runs between three narrow profiles and five that carry roughly twice the subject's list, with nothing published in between.

The rule behind this list and the basis of its order are on the methodology page. Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
