Headquarters and delivery location are separate facts

Every company on this page carries at least one delivery location in India, recorded in the Delivery locations field of its profile. That field is separate from headquarters, which records where a company is legally registered. The ranking on this page is built from delivery location, and headquarters plays no part in it. Fourteen of the 26 companies are also headquartered in India, so a delivery footprint and a home country line up for about half the list. The other twelve are headquartered elsewhere: nine in the United States, among them GlobalStep and NetSPI, and three in the United Kingdom, among them 2i and Testhouse. For these twelve, a client contracts with a company registered outside India while the testing work itself runs from a team based in India.

What a non-India headquarters changes for handoff and data

For the twelve companies headquartered outside India, the signing entity and the delivery team sit in different countries: a contract is signed with the headquarters entity while the work itself runs from a team in India. A client working with one of these twelve schedules handoffs against a team based in India, whatever country holds the invoicing address. None of the 26 companies on this page has a signed BAA or a GDPR data processing agreement recorded in its profile, a gap that covers every company on this page regardless of headquarters. For the twelve headquartered outside India, that same gap carries an added step: client data collected under a US or UK contract still crosses into India before a tester sees it, and no company here has a recorded agreement that names that step.

Verification signals beyond the location itself

A delivery location in India records where a team sits. It leaves open what backs up a claim about that team's work. Certificates are verified for 3 of the 26 companies here; the other 23 carry no confirmed certificate in their profile. A minimum project size is published by 14 of the 26, and those published floors run from 1,000 to 25,000 US dollars. A client stage, startup or enterprise, is recorded for 12 of the 26, so for the other 14 this page cannot say which size of buyer the intake was built around. Case studies are recorded for 17 of the 26, and at least one external review is recorded for 16 of the 26. One further company holds a review-platform profile that carries no review at all, so counting profiles instead of reviews would put that figure one higher. A company missing one of these fields still qualifies for this page: inclusion follows the delivery location alone, and the order of the table follows the review count. How much else a profile fills in plays no part in either.

What to confirm before treating an India delivery as fixed

A delivery location recorded today can change. A team can move to a different location, or a company's headcount there can shift, before the catalog's profile is rechecked. A company's certificate status and its stance on a data processing agreement can shift the same way, so a client that needs either should confirm both directly with the vendor before signing. Confirm the current team location in that same conversation. Ask about certificate status and the data agreement alongside it.

How this ranking was put together

Membership is computed from the profile, not chosen: companies appear here when they have a delivery location in one of the countries India covers, as their own profile states. Position in a ranking cannot be bought. Paid options are limited to the extended profile, labelled sponsor slots and lead forms, and none of them affect tags or order.

The table compares the fields that decide this axis: delivery locations, published rates, team size, plus the number of verified reviews on external platforms. Rates, minimum project size and onboarding time carry the source they came from next to the value.

  • Automation first: Test automation is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports a coverage or regression time metric.

The criteria for this axis are on the methodology page, together with field definitions and the rule for editorial order. Changes of order are recorded in the changelog.

Questions

A team in India and a client on the US west coast are separated by more than half a day on the clock. Does a company's profile show how much of that gap the two sides could overlap?
No. A profile records a delivery location as a country, India, with no working-hours or overlap field attached to that entry. The same entry covers a team built around morning contact with a US client and one that keeps no such hours. The gap to the US east coast runs three hours shorter, between nine and a half and ten and a half hours depending on the season. Neither distance appears in any of the 26 profiles here.
The delivery entry for every company here names India and nothing narrower. Does it show where in the country a team would sit, or how many people are at that site?
Neither. India appears as one country entry across all 26 profiles, so a team in a large technology hub and a team in a small satellite office are recorded identically. The size band beside it counts a company's staff everywhere it operates rather than the people at one address, so a company can carry a band of 1,000 or more while running a modest India team. Nothing on this page narrows the entry to a city or to a headcount at that site.
A company headquartered outside India still shows an India delivery site. Does the catalog say whether the testers working there are that company's own staff?
No. The ownership entry describes a company as a whole, whether it stands alone or sits under a larger group, and says nothing about the delivery site itself. A wholly owned centre and work run through a local partner appear the same way here, as one country entry. Twelve of the 26 companies keep their headquarters outside India, and for each of them the question of who employs the testers on that site is left open.
How many companies on this page carry no engagement model in their profile, and what does that cost them here?
9 of the 26 companies on this page have no engagement model recorded in their profile. The Embedded team model tag and the Crowdtesting at scale tag both need an engagement model in their criterion, so those nine are shut out of both regardless of other data published. Recording some model does not by itself unlock either tag, since the model has to match the one the criterion names. A model missing here can mean it was never offered, or simply never reported; the table does not distinguish the two.

How to choose a vendor on this axis

Published by QA RatingPublished on September 3, 2026Updated on September 5, 2026

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
