What proximity already settles inside this list

All 57 companies on this page qualify through one condition: at least one delivery location in the EU, the EEA, or in Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia or Moldova. Every row clears that bar equally, so the condition marks this page off from the rest of the catalog and leaves the rows themselves in a tie. Whatever breaks that tie comes from the other columns: which entity would sign the contract, and how much of the remaining profile can be checked against a published source.

Which entity signs, and where it sits

Headquarters and delivery location are separate fields, and on this page they part company often. Nine companies here, including ScienceSoft, Applause and Cobalt, record a headquarters in the United States; Codoid records one in India and TSOFT one in Argentina. Each of the eleven qualifies for this page through a nearer delivery location all the same. The signing entity and the law governing the agreement follow the headquarters address, so for those eleven a buyer gets the working team close and the contract on another continent.

Getting there in person

A country recorded for delivery does not specify a city or a street address, so it confirms a visit is plausible without saying which office to fly to. Sekurno lists Estonia, QAValue lists the Netherlands, and Internet Security Auditors lists Spain among the countries recorded here, each naming a country of operation and nothing more precise. A buyer planning a site visit asks for a street address before booking anything.

One vendor on both sides of the Atlantic

Ten companies in this composition also carry the Nearshore for the USA tag: ScienceSoft, a1qa, SnoopGame, GlobalStep, imbus AG, Internet Security Auditors, MTP, Side, SQA Service and TSOFT. For a buyer running a project that also touches a US team, one of these ten is a single vendor with a published delivery location on each side of the Atlantic, rather than two separate vendors to coordinate across regions.

The one field where a delivery country appears doing work

A delivery location states a country and stops there. 32 of the 57 companies also publish at least one case study, and a case study is the only field that sets a named client beside a description of the work done for them. Qytera Quality GmbH publishes seven, Cossack Labs six and Critical Software four; 25 companies publish none. For a buyer whose reason for being on this page is that the work happens nearby, the case studies of a shortlisted company are where a country in a field turns into an account of work delivered, and where there are none that step moves to the first call.

How this ranking was put together

Membership is computed from the profile, not chosen: companies appear here when they list a delivery location counted as nearshore for a buyer in the EU, as their own profile states. Position in a ranking cannot be bought. Paid options are limited to the extended profile, labelled sponsor slots and lead forms, and none of them affect tags or order.

The table compares the fields that decide this axis: delivery locations, published rates, onboarding, plus the number of verified reviews on external platforms. Rates, minimum project size and onboarding time carry the source they came from next to the value.

  • Nearshore for the EU: At least one delivery location in the EU or the EEA, or in Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia or Moldova.
  • Automation first: Test automation is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports a coverage or regression time metric.

Questions

A nearshore team is weighed against a cheaper one further away. How much of the cost side of that trade is on this page?
Part of it. 22 of the 57 companies publish an hourly rate and 35 publish none: 4 quote under 25 USD an hour, 13 quote 25 to 49 USD, 3 quote 50 to 99 USD, and 2 quote 100 to 149 USD. A published rate here carries a currency, an hourly range and at most a seniority grade, and no field ties it to a delivery location. The figure that would settle the trade, one company's price for the same work delivered from further away, is a figure this catalog has no field to hold. What the 22 rates give a buyer is the starting point for asking.
If personal data has to move into this engagement, is the paperwork for that already in place?
Not usually, on the public record. 4 of the 57 companies in this composition show a signed BAA or a GDPR data processing agreement on file, and the remaining 53 leave the field blank. A blank field does not mean a vendor refuses this paperwork, only that no public source confirms it yet, so the practical step is the same for most of this list: ask for a signed DPA before data moves, and address it to the entity recorded as headquarters, since the contract and the law governing it sit at that address.

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
