Nearshore for the EU is the largest applicability tag in this composition, ahead of Automation first

Sixteen of the 34 companies in this composition carry the Nearshore for the EU tag, which requires at least one delivery location in the EU or the EEA, or in Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia or Moldova. Automation first reaches 14 of the 34, requiring test automation offered as a service plus at least one published case study reporting a coverage or regression-time metric. Seven of the 16 companies carrying Nearshore for the EU in this composition also carry Automation first, among them ScienceSoft, QA Madness and BetterQA. The other nine of the 16, including Cobalt and Global App Testing, carry Nearshore for the EU without Automation first. From the Automation first side the same seven make up half of that group; the other seven of the 14, among them QualityLogic, QASource and Moolya, carry Automation first without the EU delivery tag.

Embedded team model sits entirely inside the automation group; Nearshore for the USA does not

Embedded team model reaches five of the 34 companies in this composition, QAble, QASource, a1qa, ImpactQA and QA Madness, and every one of the five also carries Automation first. Nearshore for the USA reaches six of the 34. Four of the six, QASource, Abstracta, a1qa and ScienceSoft, also carry Automation first; the remaining two carry Nearshore for the USA without Automation first. Two companies in this composition hold both Embedded team model and Nearshore for the USA at once: a1qa and QASource.

Performance engineering and Security focus each reach five companies, and never overlap

Performance engineering requires performance testing offered as a service plus a published case study reporting a throughput or latency metric, and it reaches five of the 34 companies in this composition. Security focus requires security testing offered together with either penetration testing or a verified ISO/IEC 27001 certificate, plus a published case study, and it also reaches five of the 34. No company in the composition carries both tags at the same time.

Three tags reach exactly one company, and seven companies carry none of the ten

Ten distinct applicability tags appear somewhere in this composition. Three of them reach exactly one company each. Accessibility specialists, which requires accessibility testing offered as a service plus a published case study reporting a conformance metric, reaches Vervali Systems. Device lab coverage, which requires a published device lab of 100 real devices or more with a source, reaches QualityLogic. Regulated industries, which requires at least two verified certificates from a defined list, reaches BetterQA. Seven of the 34 companies in this composition carry none of the ten tags: Indium Software, Q-Pros, iBeta Quality Assurance, Bugcrowd, Bugwolf, TestVagrant and Secuna.

Certificates remain the smallest confirmed field on this page

Eight of the 34 companies in this composition carry a verified certificate, the smallest count of any field checked across the page. Nineteen of the 34 publish an hourly rate, leaving 15 with the field blank. Twenty-one of the 34 list at least one named framework, leaving 13 without one. Twenty-seven of the 34 publish at least one case study, and 27 of the 34 publish at least one named client. Twenty-three of the 34 have at least one review recorded on an external platform, leaving 11 with none recorded.

How this ranking was put together

Membership is computed from the profile, not chosen: companies appear here when they name enterprises among the client stages they serve, as their own profile states. Position in a ranking cannot be bought. Paid options are limited to the extended profile, labelled sponsor slots and lead forms, and none of them affect tags or order.

The table compares the fields that decide this axis: certificates, team size, engagement models, plus the number of verified reviews on external platforms. Rates, minimum project size and onboarding time carry the source they came from next to the value.

  • Nearshore for the EU: At least one delivery location in the EU or the EEA, or in Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia or Moldova.
  • Automation first: Test automation is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports a coverage or regression time metric.

  • Embedded team model: The dedicated team engagement model is offered, and at least one published case study.
  • Performance engineering: Performance testing is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports a throughput or latency metric.
  • Security focus: Security testing is offered, together with either penetration testing or a verified ISO/IEC 27001 certificate, and at least one published case study.
  • Crowdtesting at scale: The crowdtesting engagement model is offered, and a published tester pool of 10,000 people or more, with a source.
  • Accessibility specialists: Accessibility testing is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports an accessibility conformance metric.
  • Device lab coverage: A published device lab of 100 real devices or more, with a source.
  • Regulated industries: At least two verified certificates from ISO 13485, HITRUST CSF, PCI QSA and ISO/IEC 27001.

Questions

A corporate security review usually asks for a signed data-protection agreement before anything else. Is that something a buyer can confirm from a company's published profile?
Not from this page alone. A signed data-protection agreement is left blank on 30 of the 34 profiles in this composition, leaving that question unanswered for most of the page regardless of any other field a profile fills in. A security certificate, where one is verified, covers a company's own controls and is a separate commitment from a contractual promise tied to one engagement. Confirming the agreement itself still means asking the vendor directly, since this page does not record it for most of the composition.
The applicability tags are not labeled for corporate vendor approval. Does any of them still tell a buyer whether a company has cleared that kind of review before?
No single tag does. The tags here test for a case study with a metric, a delivery region, a device fleet or a certificate. None of them tests for a security questionnaire, an onboarding timeline or a signed master agreement, steps a corporate purchase usually clears before a new supplier starts work. A verified security certificate comes closest, tied to a formal audit, but it covers only part of what a full vendor review checks. That review is something a buyer still runs separately, apart from any tag recorded here.
Enterprise is the largest stage group in the catalog, with 34 companies carrying the tag. Does that size mean the bar for carrying it is stricter than for the other client stages?
If anything, less strict. A company qualifies for this composition by naming enterprise among the client stages it serves, one line in a profile with no case study, named account or delivered engagement behind it. The same profile can name a startup or mid-market stage alongside enterprise at no extra cost, placing one company on more than one stage page. The size of this composition reflects how easy that line is to write, with no independent check against a delivered enterprise project behind any entry.
A corporate contract needs to know how large a team a vendor can staff on that specific project, separate from the vendor's overall headcount. Does this page make that distinction?
It does not. The size field records one company-wide headcount band for each business, not a per-project figure. Five of the 34 companies in this composition report a headcount as small as 11 to 50 while still appearing here as serving enterprise clients. A large headcount does not confirm a large dedicated team for one account, nor does a small band exclude a company from this list. Sizing a dedicated team for an enterprise engagement is a question the size field cannot answer on its own.

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
