Where the Latin America value draws its line
The geography axis records a company's delivery locations, the countries where its testers carry out the work, separately from the country of its registered headquarters. The Latin America value groups every company with at least one delivery location in Mexico, Central America or South America. 14 companies meet that condition. A company's headquarters can sit anywhere, and membership on this page depends only on the delivery-location field: several companies here are headquartered outside Latin America and outside the Americas altogether. Membership also does not say which Latin American country a given company delivers from. A buyer looking for a team in one country and a buyer looking for a team in another can both be looking at the same 14 companies, and neither buyer's specific country is confirmed by that membership alone. The delivery country itself is confirmed on the company's own profile.
The page-wide tag and the tag that reaches eight of fourteen
All 14 companies on this page carry the Nearshore for the USA tag: its condition covers a broader region that also includes Canada, so every company whose delivery location qualifies it for this page also satisfies that tag's broader condition. 8 of the 14 companies also carry the Nearshore for the EU tag, which requires a delivery location in the region that tag covers, separate from the Latin American one recorded here. Those 8 of the 14 run delivery work in two regions at once, and this page records only the Latin American half of that work. The remaining 6 of the 14 record no delivery location in the second tag's region, which is the whole of what its absence says here: it does not rule out delivery work elsewhere beyond the Americas.
Automation first reaches half the page, two of its members also cross into the EU region
7 of the 14 companies carry the Automation first tag. Of those 7, exactly 2, ScienceSoft and a1qa, also carry the Nearshore for the EU tag, combining delivery work in both regions with a qualifying automation case study. The other 5 of the 7 record no delivery location in the second tag's region. Two smaller tags sit close to Automation first without matching it exactly. The Performance engineering tag reaches 2 of the 14, QASource and Abstracta, and both of them also carry Automation first, while neither carries Nearshore for the EU. The Embedded team model tag reaches 3 of the 14: QASource, a1qa again and SnoopGame. Two of the three, a1qa and SnoopGame, also carry Nearshore for the EU; the third, QASource, already named above for Performance engineering, records no delivery location in the second tag's region, so the Embedded team model group splits across both regions rather than sitting in one.
One company each qualifies for three separate single-company tags
Three tags on this page reach exactly 1 of the 14 companies each. The Device lab coverage tag reaches SnoopGame alone, the same company already named above for the Embedded team model tag. The Enterprises tag reaches Side alone, which also carries Nearshore for the EU. The Security focus tag reaches ScienceSoft alone, the same company already named above for pairing Automation first with Nearshore for the EU. None of the three single-company tags is the only tag its holder carries: each of the three holders qualifies for at least one further tag shown on this page.
One company holds no tag beyond the page-wide one
One company on this page carries only the Nearshore for the USA tag and no other applicability tag: Edify Software Consulting. It is the only company on this page whose applicability tags stop at that single, page-wide tag. Every other company here also carries at least one more tag from the eight shown on this page.
Headquarters spread across nine countries, delivery narrower
The 14 companies on this page are headquartered across 9 different countries. 4 of the 14 are headquartered in the United States, more than in any other single country on this page. 2 of the 14 are headquartered in Uruguay, and 2 of the 14 in Spain. The remaining 6 of the 14 are each headquartered in a country that appears only once in this composition: Estonia, Colombia, Costa Rica, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria and Argentina. A headquarters address outside Latin America does not remove a company from this page, because the geography axis is built from a separately recorded delivery-location field. A Latin American headquarters address on its own would not place a company here either, unless a delivery location in the region is also recorded for it.
What a Latin America delivery location does not confirm
A delivery location in the region places a company on this page and settles nothing else about the evidence behind its work. 2 of the 14 companies here carry a verified certificate, and the certificate field is unrecorded for the other 12 of the 14. 9 of the 14 publish an hourly rate range, leaving 5 of the 14 with no published rate. 10 of the 14 have at least one published case study, and 9 of the 14 have at least one review recorded on an external platform. These four fields are recorded independently of each other, so a company on this page can publish a case study while leaving its rate unpublished, or the reverse. Before shortlisting from this page for a project delivered from a specific Latin American country, the delivery locations on the company's own profile confirm the country, and these four fields show how much of the rest is on the record.
How this ranking was put together
Membership is computed from the profile, not chosen: companies appear here when they have a delivery location in one of the countries Latin America covers, as their own profile states. Position in a ranking cannot be bought. Paid options are limited to the extended profile, labelled sponsor slots and lead forms, and none of them affect tags or order.
The table compares the fields that decide this axis: delivery locations, published rates, team size, plus the number of verified reviews on external platforms. Rates, minimum project size and onboarding time carry the source they came from next to the value.
- Nearshore for the USA: At least one delivery location in Canada, Mexico, Central America or South America.
- Nearshore for the EU: At least one delivery location in the EU or the EEA, or in Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia or Moldova.
- Automation first: Test automation is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports a coverage or regression time metric.
- Embedded team model: The dedicated team engagement model is offered, and at least one published case study.
- Performance engineering: Performance testing is offered as a service, and at least one published case study reports a throughput or latency metric.
- Device lab coverage: A published device lab of 100 real devices or more, with a source.
- Enterprises: A verified ISO/IEC 27001 or SOC 2 certificate, a published team size of 201-500 or larger, and at least one named client that is a publicly traded company, each with a source. A company that publishes no team size does not carry this tag.
- Security focus: Security testing is offered, together with either penetration testing or a verified ISO/IEC 27001 certificate, and at least one published case study.
The criteria for this axis are on the methodology page, together with field definitions and the rule for editorial order. Changes of order are recorded in the changelog.
Questions
- If the appeal of a Latin American team is overlapping business hours with a US office, does the country a vendor lists confirm that the two teams share a working day?
- No, a country name by itself does not fix a time zone. The region covered here runs from Mexico to Argentina, a span of several hours on the clock, so two vendors placed in the same regional listing can still keep different business hours. Delivery location is the field this page records; a time zone or a working-hours window is not, and no company profile carries one either. A shared regional listing shows where a team is based, and overlap with a specific working day is confirmed elsewhere.
- Would picking a Latin American vendor for testing guarantee support in Spanish or Portuguese during the project?
- No. Working language for test communication, the language in which testers read requirements or write defect reports, is not a field this page records, and no company profile publishes one either. A delivery location in Mexico, Central America or South America does not indicate whether a team communicates in English, Spanish or Portuguese, since headquarters country and delivery country are recorded separately from any working language. Two companies sharing the same regional listing can staff a project in different languages without either fact appearing anywhere in their profiles.
- A shortlist of Latin American vendors keeps showing the same Nearshore for the USA tag on every name. Is that tag useful for telling the candidates apart?
- No. A tag every company in this shortlist carries confirms membership in the same regional grouping and nothing about how one of them differs from the next. Separating candidates who all carry that tag calls for a field that actually varies among them: a specific delivery country, a published rate, a certificate, or a case study naming the kind of testing done. A tag that never turns off across a whole list stops working as a filter the moment the list is drawn from it.
- Does a Latin American testing vendor's willingness to sign a business associate agreement or a GDPR data processing addendum show up anywhere in a public profile?
- Not for any company profiled here: the field for signing either document carries no entry at all across this composition, in either direction. An empty field is not a declined request, it only means no public answer on that point has been put on record, and only a company's own written confirmation settles which reading applies. A buyer moving health records or personal data through a testing engagement is the one who needs that answer directly from the vendor, since nothing on file for this composition substitutes for it.

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
