Nearshore delivery reaches companies headquartered far from the region

Three of the 15 companies carrying Nearshore for the EU, Testlio, Applause and Codoid, are headquartered in the United States and in India, outside the EU, the EEA, Ukraine, Georgia, Serbia and Moldova. The tag reads a delivery location, a field separate from headquarters, so a vendor headquartered outside that list of countries qualifies the same way a vendor headquartered inside it does, as long as one place where work is delivered sits in the named region. The remaining 12 of the 15 companies carrying Nearshore for the EU are headquartered inside that same list of countries, so headquarters and delivery region coincide for most of the group and diverge only for these three.

Automation first rarely stands apart from EU delivery

The 6 companies carrying Automation first, the tag for vendors that offer test automation as a service backed by a published coverage or regression-time metric inside a case study, are QAwerk, Codoid, appmatics GmbH, BetterQA, Critical Software and QualityKiosk Technologies. Five of the six also carry Nearshore for the EU. QualityKiosk Technologies, headquartered in India with no qualifying EU-region delivery location on record, is the only one of the six that does not.

Security focus sits inside the automation and nearshore overlap

The 2 companies carrying Security focus, the tag for security testing offered together with either penetration testing or a verified ISO/IEC 27001 certificate and backed by a published case study, are QAwerk and BetterQA. Both also carry Automation first and Nearshore for the EU, so on this page Security focus never appears without those two tags alongside it.

Crowdtesting at scale splits evenly by delivery geography

The 4 companies carrying Crowdtesting at scale, the tag for a published tester pool of 10,000 people or more with a source, are Applause, UNGUESS, Ubertesters and Digivante. Applause and UNGUESS also carry Nearshore for the EU, while Ubertesters and Digivante do not, so the group splits evenly between EU-region delivery and delivery elsewhere. Ubertesters is also the one company on this axis carrying Device lab coverage, the tag for a published device lab of 100 real devices or more with a source, and Digivante carries no second tag in this composition.

Where the embedded-team group and the crowdtesting group touch

The 5 companies carrying Embedded team model, the tag for the dedicated team engagement model backed by at least one published case study, are Testlio, QAwerk, Ubertesters, appmatics GmbH and QualityMinds. Four of the five also carry Nearshore for the EU, and Ubertesters is the exception. Ubertesters is also the single point of contact between this group and the crowdtesting group: no other company on this axis stands in both.

Performance engineering stays a pair with one EU-delivery member

The 2 companies carrying Performance engineering, the tag for performance testing offered as a service with a published throughput or latency metric inside a case study, are MuukTest and Qytera Quality GmbH. Only Qytera Quality GmbH also carries Nearshore for the EU. MuukTest is headquartered in the United States with no qualifying EU-region delivery location on record.

Three further tags on this axis reach exactly one company each

Three more tags on this axis reach exactly one company each in this composition, and each pairs a distinct condition with a distinct company. Accessibility specialists, the tag for accessibility testing offered as a service with a published accessibility conformance metric inside a case study, reaches Vervali Systems alone. Nearshore for the USA, the tag for at least one delivery location in Canada, Mexico, Central America or South America, reaches imbus AG alone, which also carries Nearshore for the EU. Regulated industries, the tag for at least two verified certificates drawn from a set of four, reaches BetterQA alone, the same company that also carries Automation first and Security focus. Clearing one of these three conditions says nothing about the other two, and no company in this composition carries more than one of them.

Three companies in this composition meet no tag criterion

Three of the 23 companies in this composition carry no tag on this axis: Lotus Quality Assurance, Bugcrowd and TestVagrant. Each of the ten criteria on this page pairs a named service or engagement model with one specific piece of published evidence: a coverage or regression-time metric, a tester pool count with a source, a device lab size, an accessibility conformance metric, a qualifying delivery location, or certificates drawn from a defined list. Offering a matching service without publishing the metric, pool size, location or certificate a given criterion asks for leaves a company without a tag on this page, regardless of what else is published about it elsewhere in the table.

How this ranking was put together

Membership is computed from the profile, not chosen: companies appear here when they list Automotive among the industries they work in, as their own profile states. Position in a ranking cannot be bought. Paid options are limited to the extended profile, labelled sponsor slots and lead forms, and none of them affect tags or order.

The table compares the fields that decide this axis: certificates, case studies, team size, plus the number of verified reviews on external platforms. Rates, minimum project size and onboarding time carry the source they came from next to the value.

Questions

What happens to a multi-year vehicle validation program when the supplier is a small firm rather than a large one?
Team size alone does not settle whether a small supplier can carry a multi-year vehicle validation program across model years: what determines it is which named engineers stay assigned to the account, and what the supplier commits to when one of them leaves partway through a model-year cycle. That continuity is not visible in the size band itself, so it needs to be requested in writing before the program starts, along with the notice period for replacing an engineer and whether the team spans a single office or several. Size is nonetheless the field most consistently filled in this composition: 6 of the 23 companies band at 11 to 50 people, 9 at 51 to 200, 6 at 201 to 500 and 2 at 1,000 or more, so a buyer can at least confirm whether a shortlisted supplier sits inside a given headcount range before asking about continuity.
Can a buyer see which test automation framework a shortlisted vendor already runs before signing a contract for vehicle software validation?
Only in part, and never completely. The frameworks field carries whatever tool list a company has published about itself, which can trail the stack it runs on a given engagement, and it stands apart from every tag condition on this page, so a company's tag standing confirms nothing about its tools. 11 of the 23 companies here publish such a list at all. For a vehicle-software program the useful request is narrower than the field: which regression suite runs against the ECU or HIL rig, and how it hooks into the buyer's own pipeline.
Does a testing vendor's certificate list include anything written specifically for automotive functional safety?
A certificate written specifically for automotive functional safety does not appear on this page: a buyer confirms that scope only by asking the vendor directly for a vehicle-safety standard, since the certificates field here carries general and security-oriented credentials rather than one built for vehicle systems. 5 of the 23 companies in this composition carry a confirmed certificate at all, and the types on record are ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CREST, FedRAMP and CSA STAR. A functional-safety claim for vehicle software needs its own paper trail before a contract, separate from anything this field shows.
Does every company with an external-reviews record on this page have published reviews?
No. 11 of the 23 companies in this composition carry an external-reviews record, but only 10 of those show a published review count above zero. The remaining company has a review-platform entry recorded with a count of zero, so a filled record for this field means a tracked platform relationship exists, not that the platform has collected any reviews yet.

How to choose a vendor on this axis

Published by QA RatingPublished on September 3, 2026Updated on September 4, 2026

Every fact about a company comes from a listed source. A field without a source stays empty. A certificate counts as confirmed only when a registry, certificate or auditor report backs it; a certificate the company only claims about itself is published separately, under that label. Vendors can request a correction at hello@qa-rating.com. A correction is applied when it comes with a public source.
